2020 Dodge Charger

New for 2020 is the introduction of the Widebody SRT Hellcat and Scat Pack models to the Charger’s lineup. These Widebody trims feature unique front and rear bumper designs and flare out an additional 3.5inches from the overall Charger width, and deliver impressive performance: the 6.4L V8 in the Scat Pack outputs 485 horsepower and manages 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. The SRT Hellcat is equipped with a supercharged 6.2L V8 belting out 707 horsepower and, according to Dodge, can reach 60mph in an impressive 3.6 seconds. Not all 2020 Dodge Chargers have a mighty HEMI V8 under the hood -- SXT & GT models come standard with a 3.6L V6 that produces 300 horsepower -- but they all share an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive.

Put your best hood forward

The hood of any vehicle is often the first thing people notice - its front and centre and hard to miss. For SXT owners, swapping out your hood for an aftermarket option can be one the best ways to customise your Charger. There are many different design options; from the Hellcat with its signature air vent scoop to the bold menacing look of the classic Dodge Viper with its seven different air vents. Hood construction can also vary with carbon fibre, fibreglass and aircraft-grade aluminium options available. Prices naturally vary accordingly too. Aftermarket hoods are typically designed using the latest 3D software to ensure a perfect fit. They ship unpainted and so can be custom painted to match your Charger’s body color. This also keeps the door open for a contrasting hood color as well if you’re looking to really stand out from the crowd.

Enhance the Rear-End

Ensure your Charger looks as good at the back as it does at the front with a rear diffuser. A rear diffuser is a great way to add bold aggressive style, but they are not just a cosmetic mod: diffusers can improve the Charger’s performance by reducing its aerodynamic drag. This is thanks to their fin-like appearance. These vertical fins work to increase airflow from underneath your vehicle, creating more downforce. More downforce results in better grip, improved stability and handling, particularly under high-speed cornering. Most aftermarket rear diffusers are manufactured from high quality injection-molded ABS plastic, ensuring a lightweight yet very durable construction. Actual designs of rear diffusers can vary. Some are tame, others pretty outrageous with

A Race-inspired Interior

Give your Charger the sporty race-inspired interior it deserves with a set of racing seats. A high-quality racing seat is designed to keep you firmly in place under hard cornering and heavy braking. Their shoulder, hip and thigh bolsters work to minimize the force that makes your slide to left, right or forward. Constructed from tubular steel frames with high-quality injection-moulded padded seats, racing seats can be covered in various different fabrics: black cloth, heavy-duty vinyl, suede, and leather/leatherette. Depending on the shell type, racing seats may recline much like stock, however full bucket racing seats will not. These seats can weigh less than half as much as an OEM seat - great weight-savers for the track, but likely not ideal for a daily driver. They are engineered to be harness capable and can accommodate 4 or 5-point racing harnesses, and actually, many reclining shell seats are harness compatible too. Aftermarket racing seats can however be quite narrow (built for 30-40 inch waists on average), but wider racing seats are nonetheless available which can comfortably accommodate a 42-inch waist.
